I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I was curious about a lot of things when I was a kid: books, comics, tv, movies, sports, video games, etc. I wanted to explore a bit outside of Alaska, so I headed to Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon to study engineering. When I took physics classes in college, I found them quite fascinating, so I switched my major to and got my BA in Physics. After a bit of graduate school and random jobs, I settled on teaching as a career. I hope to inspire my students to think about how the world works and explore careers in science.
